Information Technology
Program objectives
The goal of the IT program is to facilitate Practices with information systems that effectively support their work processes. The program helps practices capitalise upon their information systems’ capabilities by addressing the following objectives.
- To optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of existing general practice computer systems
- To audit and assist the upgrade of existing computer systems
- To maintain the computer network and ensure ease of use through training and education
- To provide reliable technical call out support within a 24 hour response time.
We have kept the provisioning of IT support for our members the highest priority, while continuing to increase services such as database and software development.
Many developments have occurred throughout this financial year in the Information Technology program. We have taken on many new practices, assisting in their IT decision making. Each practice is unique, providing us with new experiences that allow us to further develop our knowledge. This benefits all Medical Practices we support as this knowledge is passed on.
